Your Search Is Over! Finally, a Wireless Home Security Camera that gives you color video sent without wires to ANY TV within 100 feet and is so simple that anyone can set it up in just minutes! Plus, it's tiny enough to put anywhere and for home security outside, this camera is fantastic!
Modern technology and breakthroughs in the home security area have now added a whole new level of efficiency to lights as a viable security device. In the past, lights were typically a static affair, offering limited and rather one dimensional security. Lights were limited to either being kept on all day and night to deter burglars, or as floodlights designed to envelope a burglar in a blinding ray of light.
This has now changed. With computers and the Internet, it possible for lights to be totally randomized, thereby more realistically mimicking actual human behavior, acting as a crucial first layer of protection to deter burglars. However, careful thought has to be given as to the actual layout and level of lighting given. If used in an inappropriate manner, the lighting levels will not only become painfully obvious to the burglar that it is indeed just a hollow illusion, but will provide them with a clear view of what wonderful treasure awaits them.
Floodlights suffer from the same problem. While they are fantastic for potentially (and temporarily) blinding the burglar, they will create deep shadows as well, as they will draw your eyes automatically towards the parts where they illuminate allowing the burglar to conceal themselves in the deep shadows more effectively. Floodlights are a throwback to the old days, given their limited use, and even more limited effect.
When you are designing and laying out the lighting for outdoors, make sure that the light is bright enough to increase visibility, but not severe enough so as to hurt your eyes or in any way impair your visibility. Strategically placing lights around the bushes will allow a better view of their "contents" and lighting around garden paths and the like should be brighter so as to better allow you to see any potential obstacles in your way (you don’t want to trip and break your neck!).
Energy costs can also be kept to a minimum by use of energy saving light bulbs. Make sure to research on the Internet so as to better determine the best possible option for you. The best has to be sodium-filled lamps, which are used in street lighting. These provide the ideal balance of lighting without being too bright so as to harm visibility nor too dim.
LED lights are another sterling investment. Be warned, that one bulb is roughly $10, much higher than the typical price of the average bulb. However, LED lights are such great investments because of their huge lifespan; LED lights can last for up to 10 years! LED lights also have the advantage of providing a more natural spectrum of light, and this in turn will reduces eye-strain.
